<<< Previoussile
n - the short iron bar across the under side of the eye of the upper millstone of a watermill. The spindle engages in the sile and thus drives the millstone. If the millstone goes too fast it comes off the sile and the mill is out of action. Hence the figurative expression applied to someone out of sorts - He's aff o da sile.
