Norn but not forgotten: sounds of Shetland is on Radio 4 at 11.30 p.m. on Saturday 4th September (repeated from 29th August). Radio Times says: 'Kathleen Jamie visits Shetland to meet poets - both those born on the island and those who have moved here - ... including Jen Hadfield, Raman Mundair and Christine De Luca, and asks them what it is about the Shetland dialect that so excites and fascinates them.'

Other voices heard in the programme are those of Mark Smith, Laureen Johnson, Robert Alan Jamieson, Stella Sutherland and the late Billy Tait.
