Storyteller: Charlie Laurenson (1925 - 2012) of Firth, Delting.
The recording was made in 1974, in Charlie's home at Sursetter, Voe. In conversation with Alan Bruford, Charlie tells a story he heard from Robert Robertson of Quam, Collafirth. The action takes place at Dale, and the spirit messenger is located at da Hol o Cudda, in Dales Lees.
The Tobar an Dualchais/ Kist o Riches website contains over a thousand recordings from Shetland, recorded from the 1950s onwards.
